Defining Brands Through Guidelines

Design Direction & Art Direction | Branding | Brand Identity

By creating toolkits, updating or rebanding current brands, the vision for overall style and the design foundation needs to be strong, cohesive and it needs to be grounded in the brand’s true essence. These are a few examples.

Engine Shop Agency Rebrand

Advertising agencies are often so busy with client work that they will neglect their own brand and culture – Engine Shop was at risk of this pitfall, but with drastic restructuring and new leadership roles, good housekeeping became a priority. While not a complete rebrand, a major overhaul was instituted to prove to others and ourselves that we are still barrier breaking leaders in this industry.

The Galleri Classic Event Toolkit

Having been The Galleri Classic agency of record for 2023 and 2024, Engine Shop took the existing brand guidelines and customized them to fit a unique event while ensuring the look and feel within the broader framework of the Galleri brand. Our creative work for GRAIL proves that we can stay within the confines of set brand guidelines while also adding our own recommendations and creativity. Where others see a limiting set of tools, we see limitless possibilities and executions.

Harmony Global Foods Guidelines

Harmony Global Foods is the parent company for DTC modern cuisine for the culture. Treeva Royes helped to launch this brand in 2021 as the Creative Director and Creative Consultant. While creating the vision, marketing, visual identity and investor deck for the HGF, the brand came to life. A year later, HGF’s first brand doro was born and currently has 4 noodle kits available for consumers.

Hilton Hotel x Roots Picnic Event Toolkit

The Roots Picnic has turned into one of the summer’s most established music festivals in Philadelphia, with hip-hop and African American culture taking center stage. Hilton Honors has become a key sponsor of the event and in 2023, they relied on Engine Shop Agency’s expertise to bring effective and organic co-branded experiences to Picnic goers for an exclusive festival kick-off event. Engine Shop Agency approaches each one of its assignments by first establishing a design system foundation and then building rich touchpoints and cohesive ecosystems around it.

Delta Summer Event Toolkit

Engine Shop Agency helped to bring Delta’s latest mobile tour to life in 2023. The Care-A-Van was a unique celebration of wellness designed to reach every employee and provide reprieve from their daily lives. A style guide was created by our creative team to ensure cohesion across all assets being share with Delta’s International team. The style guide consisted of a toolkit, unique scratch-off boarding passes, two foldable banners, table tents, ice cream packaging and unique graphics created for this event.
